Synopsis
The film was to tell the story of a young boy who is separated from his father during World War II. The boy discovers the Island of Sodor, where he meets Thomas the Tank Engine and sets out to find his father. It was to be the second feature film in the franchise’s history (after 2000’s Thomas and the Magic Railroad), and was set to be released in 2010. Due to numerous production problems, the film was constantly postponed until it was finally canceled in 2015 when HIT Entertainment went bankrupt and sold its shares to Mattel.
